What is B.Sc. (Hons) (Mathematics)?

B.Sc. (Hons) (Mathematics) or Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Mathematics is an undergraduate academic degree which is awarded after successfully completing a three years program of study in mathematics that provides in-depth knowledge about geometry, trigonometry, calculus and various other theories in Mathematics or related disciplines, such as computer science or statistics in addition to study of the normal Bachelor of Science subjects like Physics and Chemistry.

Why a degree in B.Sc. (Hons) (Mathematics)?
  • B.Sc. (Hons) (Mathematics) degree serves as a basis for further higher studies in this field such as M Sc, Ph.D. and M Phil degree in Mathematics, the successful completion of which makes one eligible for the post of a lecturer in any university / college.
